Romans 10:14-15

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"

Team

Yesterday the C&MA Phnom Penh Team meet togther. We meet together to discuss the team strategy in the city. This takes place once a month. We have goals that have been set and we evaluate where we are at as a team on accomplishing these goals and develop ideas on how to better do what we are called to do. We have four C&MA connected (KEC-Khmer Evangelical Churches in Phnom Penh). Please pray for our team that God would speak to our hearts about the dirsction that we each and corporately need to move. We desire for the 4 KEC churches would grow in number and in their love for the Lord...how can we best help our churches?

The build-out of church infrastructure in Cambodia will require heavy financial commitment first and foremost. The team might develop a network of resources within and outside the country. One strategy would be to prioritize the
team's "top ten" urgent needs or wants. Next, the team may move to parse each need into manageable pieces, then request direct assistance, financially or in materials/assets, from "partner churches" and/or sympathetic groups--perhaps Christian foundations-- in the U.S./other committed areas of the world. The team might direct modest fund-raising goals to different parters: easy hurdle rates could met and thereby encourage more ambitious target goals to be
set. (In other words, try to construct a small increment staircase.)

What does the team need? Vehicles? Buildings? Additional pastors/ support personnel? Bibles or teaching materials? Translated texts? Communications equipment?

Getting the word, meaning the team's requirements, publicized-- using every conceivable pipeline or medium-- is the best way to get that financial ball rolling. Use e-mail, the Internet, etc., to grow your team support.

The more people in the "loop" or network, the more valuable the network.

I would add to what the last person said about a network. You might ask for the donation of a digital video camera and make a SHORT demonstration video of your group's work, then put it on YouTube (www.youtube.com). Tag key words. That would bring viewers with an interest in the church or Cambodia to the video. Make DVD copies to send to home churches. Find some interesting or success stories on the mission thus far. Have a theme. Have a tag line or a slogan. Hope this helps.
